Custom Clear™ — made for custom painting

Every layer matters in a custom finish. DNA® Custom Clear™ is a premium medium solids 2K clearcoat designed to give painters the flexibility to finish, seal and build their work with confidence. Its low viscosity helps it lay down smoothly for a flat, high-gloss result with a glass-like appearance.

Use Custom Clear as a final clear over a properly prepared basecoat, candy or special effect. It is also well suited to sealing and layering during a custom paint process. Whether the job involves artwork, colour effects or a straightforward gloss finish, Custom Clear gives you a versatile clear that is easy to work into your process.

More ways to create

Custom Clear is an excellent choice for flow coating when you want to refine a prepared finish. You can also mix it with DNA® Candy ColorZ™ concentrates to create a 2K urethane candy over a suitable DNA® basecoat. This gives experienced painters another way to explore colour and depth.

For projects that need substantial high solids build to bury heavy metal flake or graphics, choose DNA® Diamond Clear™. Custom Clear’s strength is its smooth flow and versatility across general clear coating, sealing, layering and final finishing.

Custom Clear Kits

Each kit includes DNA® Custom Clear™ and DNA™ FX Hardener. Choose fast, medium or slow hardener to suit your spraying conditions. Mixing cups and mixing sticks are available as selectable extras.

Mixing ratio: 4 parts Custom Clear to 1 part FX Hardener. Mix thoroughly; no reducer is required. For application, curing and urethane candy instructions, follow the current Custom Clear technical data sheet.
