Build Your Own Colour Palette

The three primary colours provide the foundation for mixing a huge variety of secondary and intermediate colours. Tru White allows you to create lighter tones and tints, while Tru Black gives you control over shade, depth and contrast.

By varying the proportions of each colour, you can create an enormous range of custom shades from a compact five-colour palette. The supplied mixing bottles make it easy to create, store and reuse your favourite mixtures.

TRIDENT paints are designed to work as part of a complete airbrush system. Using the correct reducer, additives and cleaner helps maintain predictable paint behaviour, consistent atomisation and greater control over the finished artwork.

TRIDENT Airbrush Paint Reducer

The Primary Set includes 50ml TRIDENT Reducer Concentrate, which makes 500ml of prepared reducer. TRIDENT Reducer is specifically formulated to maximise paint flow and minimise tip dry while allowing you to adjust the paint to suit your airbrush, nozzle size, air pressure and technique.

For standard airbrushing, TRIDENT paint is typically reduced approximately 1:1 with prepared TRIDENT Airbrush Paint Reducer. Greater reduction can be used where appropriate for very fine detail work.

Always prepare Reducer Concentrate according to the recommended mixing instructions before using it with TRIDENT paint.

TRIDENT Transparent Base

When you want to reduce the colour strength of TRIDENT without simply adding more reducer or water, use TRIDENT Transparent Base. It contains no colour pigment, allowing you to increase transparency and reduce saturation while maintaining the paint’s viscosity and performance.

This gives you much greater control when creating transparent colours, subtle glazes, soft transitions and highly reduced colour effects. Even when you want the visual colour strength to become extremely subtle, Transparent Base allows the mixture to continue behaving like paint rather than becoming excessively diluted.

TRIDENT Airbrush Cleaner

Proper cleaning helps maintain consistent airbrush performance. TRIDENT Airbrush Cleaner removes water-based paint residue while its conditioning agents help lubricate and condition the airbrush and seals.

Painting T-Shirts, Fabrics or Textiles?

TRIDENT performs exceptionally well on fabrics and textiles. When painting textile artwork, apply TRIDENT T-Shirt Booster over the completed artwork before heat-setting to help minimise colour fade and washout.

Correct heat-setting is important to ensure the artwork cures properly and achieves the best possible durability on the fabric.

Reduction & Application

TRIDENT air cures naturally, although warm air can accelerate the curing process. Adjust reduction, air pressure and application technique to suit the airbrush, nozzle size and style of artwork being produced.

For automotive, metal and other hard-surface applications, correctly prepare and clean the surface before applying TRIDENT. Use the appropriate primer or substrate preparation system where required.

For textile applications, follow the recommended TRIDENT textile preparation and heat-setting process.
