Your first advantage when using the ION MAX is gained before you even paint, simply by blowing the surface with Ionized air from the ION MAX you remove dust and static electricity from the surface area This is especially effective when painting plastic surfaces which are notorious for ‘attracting’ dust particles and static charges.
ION MAX works by ‘ionizing’ the air supply before it passes through your spray gun. This allows the paint to be carried more efficiently onto the surface area resulting in less paint wastage and a more even coverage.
On a microscopic level paint particles, especially metallic’s align perfectly on the surface when using the ION MAX providing a perfect finish. Many painters note that when using ION MAX 2 to 2½ coats achieves the same coverage normally requiring 3 or 4 coats.
When paint is applied using regular air the paint particles sit randomly on the surface and on top of each other with no real uniformity. The law of physics states that ‘opposites attract’, that is, a positively charged particles can only sit next to, above or below a negatively charged particle. A positively charged particle sitting on the surface will actually repel another positively charged particle, sometimes into the air away from the surface resulting in wastage!

Using ION MAX your paint transfer efficiency is dramatically improved, the paint particles align
more perfectly, especially with metallic’s resulting in a visibly better finish and less paint wastage.
ION MAX reduces drying times as well as final cutting & polishing times further improving
productivity as well as reducing labour costs and materials used in polishing or finishing a job,
reduced booth drying times and a quicker turnaround of work adds even more savings making
ION MAX an easy investment decision and at the same time, reduce greenhouse gas emissions which is good for the environment.
